About Porcelain Slab & Countertop

Inspired by the latest European trends, large-format porcelain slabs are one of the most versatile products Daltile offers. Called gauged porcelain slabs in the industry, these 10’ x 5’ slabs come in slim profiles of 6mm or 12 mm. They easily bring the scale and style of natural stone slab to projects where stone might be cost or installation prohibitive.

A great match for commercial applications, there are a host of residential applications as well: countertops, vanities, shower walls, tub surrounds, fireplaces, floors, feature walls, exterior cladding and more. They are a great addition to just about anywhere barring the pool or shower floor.

Installing Gauged Porcelain Slabs

Since this product is relatively new to the U.S. market, it is advised that you find a trained professional with the know-how and specialized equipment to handle the massive slabs. Transportation and installation require the most care. Once the gauged porcelain slab is installed at its final resting place, it has excellent stability and durability.

FlexFit™ Size Solutions

Not only are Panoramic Porcelain Surfaces excellent for large spaces and countertops, but as part of our FlexFit Size Solutions program, a single slab can be cut into seven pieces in sizes ranging from 126" x 31.5" to 21" x 21". All colors are conveniently stocked in seven standard sizes for both 6mm and 12 mm thickness. Achieve the look you want and never have to worry about maintenance issues common with other materials. There are no limits to the placement of the panels. They’re suitable for floor, interior and exterior walls, counter, tub deck, appliance furniture – anywhere you want higher style while sticking to the project budget. Take a closer look at any Daltile location

Care & Maintenance of Porcelain Countertop Slabs

Routine maintenance for extra-large porcelain countertop slabs is just like porcelain floor tile. Water and mild soap is all that is needed for everyday cleaning. For tougher stains, try a specialized stone cleaner or stain remover. Sealing your porcelain slab is great way to keep it from becoming stained in the first place. Seal your slab once a year to every other year depending on the type of sealer you use. Employ a seal remover prior to resealing.
