Custom Porcelain Tile at Green Valley Ranch Resort

Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa and Casino in Henderson, Nevada is the kind of property where the details matter. When the resort set out to renovate its suite bathrooms alongside design firm Avenue Interior Design, the original vision was designed around Calacatta Macchia Vecchia, a rare Italian natural stone prized for its soft white ground and intricate veining. But its fabrication challenges, maintenance demands, and limited availability made it unworkable at resort scale.

That’s when they turned to Daltile, and what followed was one of the most detailed custom surface partnerships we have undertaken.

Our team at Daltile used high-resolution photography of the actual Calacatta Macchia Vecchia stone to develop six custom slab faces in our Panoramic Porcelain Surfaces material. Each face was mirrored and sequenced to allow uninterrupted design flow throughout the suite bathrooms, with the sequencing built to loop back to face 1 for cohesion. Real-time client feedback shaped every stage of development, and before full production began, our team members traveled to Italy together with the client to observe manufacturing firsthand.

From there, the custom design was applied across every surface the suite bathrooms. The 6mm slabs, cut to 20"x40", covered the main floors and walls. Those same slabs were precision-cut to 4"x4" custom mosaics for the shower floors, with Countertops and vanities featuring our 2cm thickness. Materials arrived ahead of schedule, giving the installation team the time that the pattern sequencing required, so veining could flow through every surface transition without interruption.

The suite renovation was such a great success that Green Valley Ranch extended the project to its convention and ballroom bathrooms, bringing the same custom Panoramic Porcelain Surfaces into the resort's public spaces. Soon enough, a project that began as a single-area remodel grew into a defining design across the full property.
