1587 Prime - Crafting a World-Class Dining Experience

When Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce set out to build a steakhouse worthy of Kansas City, they weren't simply opening a restaurant. They were making a statement. Co-founded in partnership with Noble 33, 1587 Prime is rooted in the same pursuit of excellence that defines its co-founders.

The interior was designed by The Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry, with a clear brand identity in mind: create a space that honors Kansas City's legacy while transforming it into something entirely novel. The goal was to balance drama with warmth, delivering an atmosphere that feels elevated. Achieving that vision required surfaces that could carry the weight of that ambition all the way from front of house to back of house.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS MATTER

At 1587 Prime, your experience begins before anyone is seated.

Natural Stone Marble Breccia Vino 2cm anchors this entry sequence throughout. Its rich burgundy hue and veining throughout set a dramatic first impression that feels unmistakably bold. Applied across the columns, hostess desk, front door, and yard line inspired floor inlay, our Breccia Vino tile creates a visual throughline that unifies the entrance and immediately communicates the standard one can expect throughout the rest of the space.

A Dining Area Built to Impress

As you move into the dining area, the material palette shifts to reflect a different kind of refinement. Here, the focus turns to the tabletops and bar countertop. These are surfaces that guests interact with directly and that set the tone for the entire dining experience.

Natural Stone Marble Calacatta Viola 2cm was selected for these applications throughout the dining room. With its luminous white background and expressive gray veining, Calacatta Viola brings an air of luxury to each table.

Setting the Stage with Custom Mosaics

One of the most striking elements in the restaurant is the stage, a space designed to serve as both a performance platform and a visual centerpiece. To bring this to life, the team turned to a custom Keystones mosaic pattern that commands attention without overwhelming the room.

The mosaic draws from a carefully curated palette of six Daltile colors: Arctic White, Uptown Taupe, Brownberry, Mustard, Oak Moss, and Suede Gray. Together, these tones build a dynamic, eye-catching composition. The custom pattern adds a layer of artistry that elevates the stage from functional feature to defining design moment.

A Kitchen Primed for Performance

Behind the scenes, the kitchen demands a different kind of surface—one built to withstand the intensity of professional culinary service without sacrificing style.

Quarry Tile Black covers the kitchen floors, delivering the slip resistance, durability, and easy maintenance that high-volume commercial kitchens require. On the back walls, Mythology introduces subtle texture and visual rhythm, creating a space that feels both considered and cohesive. Across the kitchen countertops, Natural Stone Quartzite Amarone makes a statement, bringing rich depth and elevated contrast while standing up to the demands of a hardworking kitchen.

When Form and Function Are Inseparable

1587 Prime is a testament to what happens when intentional design is brought to life through exceptional materials, where every product choice supports a larger vision built to be remembered. Daltile is proud to support that vision every step of the way, offering special order solutions and expert sourcing to help bring even the most distinct concepts to life.

Great commercial spaces are never defined by a single moment. They are constructed detail by detail, surface by surface, with the understanding that every material has a role to play in shaping how a space feels and functions.

Imagine what's possible when every surface is chosen with that level of intention.
